Description
Deswik Suite is a collection of specialized software for designing, modeling, and managing the operations of various mining projects, published by Deswik. The software consists of a total of 35 different modules, each of which has unique applications and adds specific functions to the core of the software.
The four basic software modules are called Deswik.CAD, Deswik.Sched, Deswik.MD and Deswik.OPS, respectively, and the other four modules are then given lower priority. This software helps engineers and industrial managers to work faster and more professionally. With the help of this software, design, and operations team time is saved and engineers can design more detailed plans and operational plans, study different scenarios and as a result, save financial, time, and human resources.
This software is almost an interdisciplinary tool and has been used by various people such as mining engineers, geologists, surveyors, production and operations supervisors, and so on. The modules of this software are classified into 6 titles: design, planning, blasting and drilling, mapping, geology, operations, and operational process management, and each has its own applications. Despite being separate without software modules, the data flow between them will not stop under any circumstances and the user can use the data of one module simultaneously (Real-Time) in other modules as well.

Workstation requirements detail
- Lower spec machines may be able to run Deswik. Suite for viewing and drafting purposes, however the size of the file/data being loaded will be the limitation on the minimum spec machine required.
- Typically large open cut coal models.
- A note on Video Cards:
- Nvidia or AMD cards are supported BUT Nvidia cards are preferred and have proven to provide better performance with Deswik.Suite.
- Intel integrated graphics cards are supported on a “reasonable efforts” basis and only under the following conditions:
- i. The card is an Intel Skylake generation or higher card https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Graphics_Technology#Skylake
- ii. The latest Intel graphics card drivers are installed
- iii. The customer understands that integrated graphics cards will provide significantly poorer performance and may lack some functionality as opposed to a dedicated graphics card.
- All video cards must support OpenGL 4.3 or above. Video card drivers need to be up to date (no more than 12 months old).
- Please note additional GPU requirements for specific features are listed in the table Additional Specific GPU Requirements.
- Lower display resolutions may work, but some controls may not be visible in some configurations.
- Deswik follows the Microsoft Windows lifecycle for supported operating systems. For further details please refer to the Windows lifecycle fact sheet available from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13853/windows-lifecycle-fact-sheet. Deswik recommends your operating system is up to date with vendor-approved drivers and BIOS.
