Oscilloscopes for beginners

Udemy – Oscilloscopes for beginners 2019

Oscilloscopes for beginners is an introductory training course for working with an oscilloscope or an oscilloscope, published by Udemy Academy. This educational course is completely practical and project-oriented, and during its educational process, you will participate in a series of programs and various laboratory projects. An oscilloscope is one of the most practical and important tools used in electrical engineering.

This tool can easily display electrical signals and analyze them. Oscilloscopes are able to measure and show you many data, the most important of which are time periods, peak and height times, wavelength, working period, minimum and maximum voltage, etc. . These tools can even decode different communication protocols such as RS232 and I2C.

Almost everyone who works with electronic circuits and components uses oscilloscopes in some way. Oscilloscopes can carefully examine the circuits and provide us with valuable information about the contents of the circuits and, most importantly, their operating methods.

What you will learn in Oscilloscopes for beginners course:

  • Various uses and capabilities of an oscilloscope or oscilloscope
  • Controls and different sections of the oscilloscope or oscilloscope
  • Calibrate and fine-tune the oscilloscope to accurately display various data
  • Using manual and automatic call or trigger functions
  • Receive and analyze different types of available signals
  • Getting to know different types of oscilloscopes and their applications
  • And …

Oscilloscopes for beginners

Oscilloscopes for beginners course prerequisites

Basic electronics, ie able to use simple passive components like resistors and capacitors in a breadboard circuit, and understand the meaning of units like Volt, Amperes, and Hz.

A working understanding of the Arduino Uno and the ESP32 as low-cost test signal generators, you should also be familiar with these platforms. We provide all circuit schematics and sketches in the course.

You will need an oscilloscope. If you already have one, you can use it to practice the course experiments. If you don’t, you can buy an inexpensive PC/USB oscilloscope for less than $100.

To generate the test signals, we use an Arduino Uno and an ESP32, plus a few simple components like buttons, resistors, capacitors, and a potentiometer. If you have completed Arduino Step by Step Getting Started and ESP32 For Busy People, you already have everything you need.
